I'll also add ZombiU isn't the only example either I remember NMH on Wii being ported to 360 and PS3, people for ages games like that would do better on other platforms. When it was ported it bombed even harder. Bayonetta is interesting in that it's sales on a userbase of 13m are comparable to sales on platforms that sold 80m and it sold on the former with out going to the bargain bin either.

Even an a game like W101 has sales comparable with other PG titles on the said platforms as it sold on par with tiles like Vanquish, tbh I think the userbase that follows Nintendo respond better to PG hence how she got in Smash.

It's the same story for Strategy games. Last year there was Grand Ages: Medieval on PS4. Haven't heard much of a peep about that game on their end. Reviews are mixed on Steam currently, but I know which side is going to get the most out of it. I imagine there will be touts when XCOM 2 comes out, but they will have to be backed up by a large margin of the install base, you know since that has been an ongoing weapon used in this gen's console war.

See the recent Japanese titles making their way to Steam, those devs know that there is money to be made and that there is a definite market for what they want to sell. With the situation like bayo, the market has had access to those types of games for years, yet it was largely ignored from both large bases, despite having actual access to the game on either system.

Also remember the whole Rayman fiasco?, how it got delayed for Wii U to go to the larger last gen base, which Wii U ended up outselling at the time it eventually got released?, good times.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
