Does that only benefit the console and not any other system?. What about the piss poor Arkham Knight port on PC?, or the other times there have been bad ports on PC as well as the other consoles. Really it would be the devs and pubs for all those accounts too.

The other thing to note is that it still didn't do all that well when we combine both systems from last gen, that had big userbases, together. The genre itself isn't really all that popular compared to say shooters or even some exclusives.

If we decide that it's fine and the game is to apparently do better when released on multiple platforms, then really we could say this for plenty of other games.

There are some games that just don't sell all that well. Zombi U on Wii U didn't do amazingly well and later on it didn't do all that well on the other systems either. There are times where a game just isn't as popular as you think it is and it just doesn't do as well as you thought it would.

I'll also add ZombiU isn't the only example either I remember NMH on Wii being ported to 360 and PS3, people for ages were saying games like that would do better on other platforms. When it was ported it bombed even harder. Bayonetta is interesting in that it's sales on a userbase of 13m are comparable to sales on platforms that sold 80m and it sold on the former with out going to the bargain bin either.

Even a game like W101 has sales comparable with other PG titles on the said platforms as it sold on par with titles like Vanquish, tbh I think the userbase that follows Nintendo respond better to PG hence how she got in Smash.
