Now, follow my logic:I do really believe Sega wants to get back on track, and that is evidenced by Sonic Mania since that game looks incredible, but this game was already in development while Sega was still wanting to make only shitty sonic games, and unless they scrapped everything and make the game from scratch(basically burn the money they already spent), the only thing that they could save without making what basically would be a new game(since they would have to throw all assets down the toilet(music, enemies, art direction, etc)), would be the gameplay, and thats why the game turned out to be ok. I mean, I may be reading too much into it, but hopefully this marks a new beggining for Sega. |
I dont think Sega sets out to make bad Sonic games. I think they're problem is that they like to rush them out when they are clearly not ready. It happened with Sonic 06, hell they've always been like that Knuckles Choatix had the same issue.
