Seems kind of like a no-brainer although throwing in what is still currently a $60 game that most PS4 owners should play (but not all will buy) slightly tilts the equation if you're planning buying it along with the console.

But, for $100 more, you're getting quite a bit more than $100 more in specs, even if just allowing for the difference in what $399 buys in 2016 vs what it bought in 2013.

Sure, one can say "I'm NEVER buying a 4K HDTV" or at least not one within the next 5 years, lessening the reason for the premium cost or they have no interest in PS VR, but at that point the question is really just a matter of do you want the updated hardware and performance or do you want to save $100?

That's pretty much what I'm trying to figure out. I'm leaning more towards the Pro than the Slim, but Uncharted 4 being bundled with the Slim is a great deal imo.

I think I would personally rather buy the Pro rather than buy a Slim and then "upgrade" within a year or two.

I suppose it really depends upon your purchasing habits. If you're the type who buys a console and that's it for five years until you buy the next generation rather than the type who buys more than one of the same console (a hardware refresh) you may be okay with saving $100. But on the other hand, it's only $100. This is the first time a console has actually had a significant hardware upgrade rather than just a die shrink, a smaller case and a cheaper BoM/MSRP. You're buying a lot more for that extra $100.

U4 will go on sale eventually; it's a matter of when you plan on playing it. Obviously you could wait since you don't already have a PS4.
