The DMC serie have pretty awful story. Have not tried NG serie yet but I cant imagine it having worse :D

Who the hell plays this kind of game for its story?

Some genres have a story as an afterthought/excuse to put the levels together, and they're fine that way. Not every game needs to be based on a frikkin story.

 

DMC serie is trying push awful story on people. No story is better then awful story.
