I just spent 10 minutes reading up on HDMI cables and it did my head in.

I am looking to get PS4 HDR working on my 4k, HDR ready TV. It is not turning on, despite HDR being switched on on the PS4 and the TV. As such, I have concluded it is likely the fault of the cable that came with the PS4.

Can I buy a high speed, v1.4 HDMI cable, or do I need a high speed, v2.0 cable (more expensive wherever I look) to make HDR work on the PS4?

I have read some blogs that say for any purpose on current or near-future consoles, HDMI v.1.4 will do everything you need it to for 4k and HDR. But of course, any site trying to sell me a cable is extolling the virtue of 2.0.

Would welcome any help!
