If CERN/NASA were to prove our universe is a simulation, how would it affect you?

A lot would change. Fuck, pretty much everything in society and public perception, would change. It would be the same outcome as if Aliens showed up with peace signs in Times square.

So what exactly would change except for the overreaction of some people about stuff they can't do anything about. It's the same as if someone would tell us that there is a human like alien species 500 million lightyears away.
