Yeah, but it doesn't matter - bundle or not - as there are soooooo many bundles to choose from. Destiny, Uncharted 4, COD, Battlefront, etc. So if the COD bundle sells it means the buyers want THAT game. Simple as that!!!

Now if there was only ONE bundle to choose from, that's a whole different story as people will just buy the console with the game they want or don't want.

De facto standard doesn't mean the only bundle. It means by far the most dominant bundle.

And lets be honest, would it matter what game they had in the bundle? PS4 was dominating the sales war before they starting bundling games with it.

Either way the bottom line is it sold tons as a bundle. You take that bundle away, plus introduce a new CoD game, the sales for it will tank compared to what they were.
