Oops. Magic the Gathering. What is CCG? And do you have yet formed an opinion about Elder Scrolls cards and Gwent? |
CCG stands for Collectible Card Game - type of card game that has Starter deck and then more often then not has additional decks with new cards you buy that are random in nature, so you never really know what you're buying...honestly, I find the concept great for publisher, really bad for players. Magic is CCG.
LCGs (Living Card Games) are similar in nature, but don't have random decks. Android: Netrunner is probably being most played these days.
I don't like either category, actually I skip them by default, so I haven't really bothered with Elder Scrolls and Gwent...honestly I tend to skip a lot of card games, not all though, but I prefer board games in general.
My opinion, if you're thinking of getting into board/card gaming, there's plenty of really great games out there, going for well known video-game IPs translated into board games is usually not such a great idea...well, to counter myself this new LoL board game seems really good, X-Com is pretty good as well.
