Gandhi was a terrible racist despite his anti-violence stance and belief in peace. He had a very low opinion of African black people which is well documented.
I don't think I'm racist but I have prejudice mainly on religious grounds. As an atheist I know in many countries that would be a death sentence and I resent that obviously and the religion that in so many countries would murder me because I don't believe what they believe. I certainly view woman as equals and have known many people of different ethnic groups and there is huge variation between their characters as you would expect. I certainly couldn't lump them altogether in their ethnic group and say they are the same.
I believe in healthcare, justice and decent education for all and a system not weighted towards the rich but I also believe in the capitalist system. I just don't believe the difference between rich and poor should be life or death.
