| CGI-Quality said: Yeah, for me, this is one of those titles that should remain exclusive (of course if the studio can afford it). People will build a machine for a title like this (could very well be the next Crysis - except that the requirements won't be so out of reach that you can't truly take advantage of it). Not a slight to the consoles, but this is just one of those games, in my view. |
Afaik the studio made bank on the funding alone, so when the game finally reaches competion, it will be making even more money from out the gate, versus most AAA studios that get their funding from pubs and they have to make their sales back during week and month one.
I'm not building a machine specifically for the game, though there will be people building one for it. I'm building a new one enxt year to get me started on 1440p, though I'm not sure how it will handle SC when it does release, likely won't need to upgrade much by then.
I don't really see it as much of a slight. I mean a group of gamers for years, have wanted a game that makes good use of the high end hardware they buy into and CR just happens to be a guy that shares that dream. To water it down would simply go against the dream those have poured millions into. It really should be a situation where you build to play it rather than wait for it to be watered down because you don't share the same dream to see it for what it is (it's visuals have a lot going for it as well as it's physics and animations, but the visuals are basically a part of the dream CR is sharing).
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
