I'm speaking from experience here. I use a somewhat high class leather version of this for work and I'd never use it for gaming. Way too uncomfortable. It's perfect for work because it forces me to get up and walk around once in a while as well as change up my position constantly. I put my feet up on the shinrest a lot and sometimes it just turn the whole thing around and sit on it 'the wrong way around'. All of wich is good for the back, but not very condusive to console gaming.
My vote would be couch, bed or recliner. Matress and cushions on the floor maybe.
