Yes, and the iPhone starts 650$ (not 800$).
Not to mention, smartphones today have replaced many devices for many people. Including the freaking PC and the point and shoot cameras, smartphones of today are the most used DAILY devices for many, if not most, people. If someone wants the best smartphone because it's the device they use the most, an iPhone is definitely an option to consider.
