Well... Technically I did for my Galaxy S7 but thats cause the Canadian Carriers are stupid :P

Oh i...

*backs away slowly*

Here, they just put it into our montly bill so we don't feel like we are paying as much as we actually are.

Yea Canada does something similar but with the setup that I got, I didn't have much of a choice.

See the thing is, when I got my Galaxy S1 in a contract, I got this really good limited time plan which has 6gb of data, unlimited text and etc for $60 a month. For Canada, that is a zomg deal since this is Rogers. Then I upgraded to the Galaxy S4 with a contract and I was able to keep my plan. But then the Canadian laws changed and the contracts before were for 3 years but now, contracts at max can be for 2 years. So what did the Carriers do? They increased the cost of the plans. So if I were to get the exact same plan today, I would have to pay $125 per month.

So when my Galaxy S4 broke earlier this year, I wanted to go into another contract for the Galaxy S7 for $200. But if I did that, I would have to upgrade to a newer plan. With $60 per month, at most, I could get is 1gb of Data. Or I could go in the middle and pay $600, keep my plan and go into a contract. But that was only $150 less than the unlocked price of the Galaxy S7 and I wouldn't need to be locked with the Carrier for another 2 years. And that is how I paid $750 CAD for my phone from Ebay. And remember this is CAD, so really, its more like $550 USD.
