I have to be honest, I didn't catch the sarcasm in what you said either. So I would look at rewording that post.

I also have to disagree with the notion that having first hand experience with Islam wouldn't be beneficial in a discussion about Islam. 

I'd actually be really interested in hearing what Muslims think about this sort of thing. I mean, think about it. These attacks probably effect them way more than it effects most other Americans.

bold 2: The problem is that the discussion always goes from asking about their views to having a debate about Islam. As long as the extremist buffoons get screen time by the pathetic media, we'll rarely see the majority voice be shown for Muslims in America.
