Would it be too much to ask for SE to remake IX, but not completely? The backgrounds are still completely usable considering they were super condensed to fit on a few CDs on the PS1. Just modernize the art style for the rest of the game to take advantage of them, and that would be a must buy for me.
Of course, we'll probably be disappointed instead as nothing all that special gets announced.
