Yea I always used to be a keyboard mouse guy too. After I started working in IT though I had such a hard time using a keyboard and mouse to game when I got home. It just ruined the experience. I guess my body felt like "hey this is like work, stop this!". Switched to consoles after that. Now with the whole mid gen upgrades I've decided I might as well game on PC. Got everything on my PC working just like a console except for this one thing. I'm looking going back to mouse and keyboard for FPS games but it'll take some time to get that going. Until then I'll be using my PS4.

Ah - its the opposite for me lol
I got my first PC for my 8th birthday and from there I just got used to it after going through keyboard typing class in elementary, middle and high school along with having me writing statements for work, medical, lawyers, etc for my friends and family for years lol
I got into emulation as well when I was younger so that helped me a bit.
I'm in the IT field too - sucks that I have to bring my keyboard to work since they use ergonomic keyboards which are a pain to me -.-. Other than that, being on a PC doesnt bother me at all whether its for work or for play. I probably work (video production wise) more than actually playing when I'm at home xD.
Nowadays I play RTS, Strategy, Point & Click, FPS and TPS games with my mouse and keyboard while I use my xbox360 controller or my Dualshock 4 for RPGs, Fighters, Racing, action and platformers simply because those genres I'm just used to playing with a controller after being on consoles for so long.

I remember having some difficulty for years back with CoD and the like on the P23/360, but the past few years of using a K+M has me sticking with them. There is no way I can go back to using a gamepad for FPS titles, even for some third party ones.

Same here. I tried but it just felt weird and my reaction time was way off to the point where my online friends were like "Forget the damn controller, just use your mouse and keyboard" xD.

Yep I've actually just started using the steam controller for point and click type RPGs and it's been really really awesome. I'm almost done with Pillars of Eternity (which has been amazing BTW) and it's been awesome using the steam controller.
