Short version is:
Two years ago DH released a game called "The Slaughtering Grounds" on Steam. Jim Sterling who usually picks up shitty games on Steam made a video about it. He wasn't more or less vicious than against any other shitty game on Steam but the Developer took it to heart and made a reaction video. Jim then made a reaction video to that reaction video and the rivalry was perfect.
After that every new (and shitty) game of DH which even released games under different companies was found by the steam community and subsequently slammed by them and Jim. Then there was a nice back and forth between Jim and the developers. After some time Jim was sued by them for slander over 15 million dollars. That happened months ago and Jim did not openly talk about it.
And now this happens.
What we basically have here is a developer throwing a tantrum for two years now and finally making their legal threats real. it's an awesome story and great entertainment for everyone involved.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
