Yea cause we would to live like europeans. I dont know why europeans and others around the world think they know whats "best" for us. And they call us arrogant. Take care of your own house before giving us advice on ours |
You know, Europe is 45 countries, 23 languages, never assume there is a single opinion, single way of living inside Europe. But it's fair enough to say there are a lot of arrogant people.
But the reason why so many people in Europe think they have a say on what USA should do is because USA has a tremendous impact on the Europe and the world, and thus american voters have some sort of accountabilty toward the world. The fact is this impact does not just come from being a superpower, it come from the USA elites actively imposing what they think is "best" to many countries wether through war, or wether through regulations and trade agreements.
My own point of view is that Trump is in the right direction. If Trump can deal with immigration, unfair trades, and generate growth, the USA will have a positive influence as an example, as a growth engine, and as a competitor. I'm not saying you owe us anything, or that we should not fix it ourselves, but I can tell you that when the USA get crazy about offshoring, finance, and China's imports, it's almost impossible to compete without doing the same. We could still manage, but the first step would be to throw out crooked politicians, and you can see how hard it is... it's even harder with Europe.
