ya but what are their political opponents? that is what I am trying to define.

"The alt-right is a segment of right-wing ideologies presented as an alternative to mainstream conservatism in the United States.[1][2] It has been described as a movement unified by support for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump,[3][4] as well as by opposition to multiculturalism and immigration."

"The alt-right has no official ideology, although various sources have said that it is associated with white nationalism,[1][2][6] white supremacism,[3][7][8] antisemitism,[1][2][9] right-wing populism,[6] nativism,[10] and the neoreactionary movement.[7][11]"

No official ideology.

white nationalism/supremacism/antisemitism.

That says it all really right?

Alot of Donald Trumphs voters, and backers, are these really racist bunch of people.

you seem to have added to that.

Anti-multiculturism is not racist. It simply means you come to America, no matter where you are from, become American. Has nothing to do with race.

Ok, so it say various sources have asscociated them with white supremisist and the like. Which I guess explains the hatchet job I read on the Economist(which is what they said, with no sources, which is why I came here...).

Want to see some other takes. It seems that people label the group as whatever is politically expediant.
