I have always been partial to Sound Blaster cards. The best one they have for Music/Movies only is the older SoundBlaster Audigy RX.
If you want a mix of Gaming and Music/Movie then I would suggest SoundBlaster Z is the best option.
Just a minor warning, creative has never been good with drivers and sometimes depending on your PC config you may have to try a couple different versions to find the one that works best for you.
From my testing they have the best sound cards in their price range.
