Are Strategy/RPG's and RTS games hard to get into?

I will certainly get into this genre real soon guys!!!

I think my next purchases is:

Jeanne D' Arc for the PSP and Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii.

I might buy Advance Wars for the DS also...
