Playnexf, it is true, no matter how much others say otherwise. The fact is, the Wii has gamers on its side and non-gamers. (the type that wouldn't care about Mgs4, gears, but would care about Gta4 or ff, a little.) The Wii has it's on army. Now, don't get me wrong, the Ps3 is not a failure, and for one to think such a thing is crazy.
The Ps3 will be a success. I see it selling around 65-70 mil. It just won't see the "wii" success, as I like to call it. At this point I see the Wii breaking the 100 mil barrier.
Also, I don't understand why people use lineups as an excuse as to why Wii will all of a sudden fall like a baby on a bike. People act as if Nintendo will sit and drink kool-aid and not make a game for the Wii. (though they could do that with the large money amounts they have in the bank.)
In order to make your audience stick to your console, you have to throw out the games. Which Nintendo will most certainly do. People like to talk about the Wii's 1st party as if people were expecting them to sell like the Console itself. It wasn't expected. I mean, many people, including myself, had Sony destroying the competition, in our eyes. We were blinded by loyalty. Look now, I have a Nintendo console for the 1st time in my life. (the Wii.)
No doubt, Sony is not a failure. They will make a lot of profit. (blu-ray and games will help a lot.)
Also, I noticed a lot of people act as if the Wii's future lineup is bleak yet we already have confirmations or hints on the future of its lineup. (which i believe will become more ds like in the future.)Games like: Mgs4, ff13, r2, will keep the Ps3 going strong.
Don't doubt Sony. But, also, don't doubt Nintendo.
