while I sort of agree with others that the trailer comes off more like an "Outlast" (especially in terms of the humor), I think its a welcome direction. They can still have connections and ties into the police/Umbrella/etc.
sure, it looks pretty cinmeatic and I doubt that it relies as heavily on things like puzzles / inventory management like the earlier games, however obviously when we look at the last few Resident Evil games this is a welcome thing...
I mean I'd rather Resident Evil take an Outlast, style over substance, vibe than do what Resident Evil 5 did. I mean holy shit, the last few RE games have been like action shooters and frankly boring and not scary because of that.
Whether this ends up being more in the vain of the earilier games or (more likely) in the vain of more recently popular horror games, all I care about is that it actually is scary and DOES involve gameplay. Hopefully it balances the two well.
