It's a 6x CAV drive, it's simply not fast enough for 4K UHD discs. Unless they can patch it to spin faster....

1X speed is 36Mbps, 4K 100GB triple layer discs require 128 Mbps to be able to be read for the 4K UHD standard. 6X = 216 Mbps. The drive is fast enough for current UHD standards. The limiting factor is whether or not the beam is narrow enough to read the 33GB layer and is capapble of reading all 3 layers.
