Look at UFC games for example, that's bi-annual with stronger sales and instead opts for roster updates. As I also mentioned before the PS3 sales took a nosedive while the Vita is no longer supported. I feel a company like EA or 2K would love to take it off their hands and put it on 3 or 4 platforms. |
Not sure why that matters with how well it's performing on the PS4..
EA and 2K are free to make a deal with the MLB (Sony doesn't have an exclusivity deal). And 2K did in 2013 but it lead to a poor game with poor sales. They didn't renew the contract but they could if they wanted. There's just not enough potential for high sales.
