That seems like their best advantage to other devices. The tablets are apparently doing well. X1 is still very relevant and being used as a vehicle for Windows 10. HoloLens is still in development. Microsoft is going to be pushing gaming PCs. Hopefully that goes better than Steam machines. With that said, it looks like MS is still interested in consumer hardware. |
They already tried to turn mobile phones into PCs. It failed miserably. Their mobile business is done for. It's a shame because windows mobile had potential. But they allocated more money for promotion instead of R & D, because it was half backed good idea.
