Hmm, well that sounds easy. /sarcasm

Guess Sony was not lying when they said they want to compete with PC market. Goodbye, plug and play.

This is typical in the a/v market.  No need for such unwarranted banter.

I have a reciever and none of my hookups are this complicated.

Just as building a pc is not complicated. You take the cords and plug them into where the label says so, or in regards to computers, usually color coded, lol.

Most receivers have HDMI labels for TV in/out. DVD/Blu Ray, Cable, ect.

It should be as easy as buying a PS4pro and plugging it into an open HDMI slot on ones Receiver.

I realize this is due to having non HDR/4k ready receivers. If you have a newer reciever that is ready it is just plug and play, correct?
