Power was a huge factor. 1080P was the reason why MANY people chose ps4 over xbox one. The 100$ price difference obviously didn't mean much because the ps4 is still much more popular. But at this point, the ps4 has such a huge lead that it doesn't really matter. I don't think MS can do anything.

I don't know....I don't think Power was that big of a factor. I think Sony just made all the right decisions this time around. Excellent Price point, a veery well built machine, great games and took teh steam from MS messing up so badly out the gate. But power was only a huge factor to some interent folks who were basttling it out. But to the rest it was not that big of a deal in my opinion.

Power seemed to be a big factor for allot of people, especially when you took into account the PS4 was also cheaper.
Even in more casual circles it is pretty common knowledge that the Playstation 4 had the edge in performance and that likely did help to propel the Playstation 4 forward.

Sony had all the right cards at the right time, Microsoft made all the wrong mistakes, it's as simple as that, Power was a factor in that in my opinion.
Both these companies play on each others weakpoints when they appear, Microsoft is doing it currently with regards to Mods and UHD Blu Ray, it's what competition is all about.
