Do you really think they will for the 1080p angle in 2017 when 4k will be more mainstream? And do you really think MS will mandare 1080p/60fps?

Its already been reported that some games will be locked to 30 fps and that Sony decided for it not to be higher so that there is no unfair advantage. That could be true, but if you look at PC gaming.... many different people play at various framerates and qualities based on their internet speed and hardware. Either Sony is gimping the potential of the Pro or the pro just cant hit 60 fps at 1080p.Personally, I think 1080p needs to be locked at a solid 60 fps before next gen before we even think about perfecting 4k. Thats interesting and i'll probably upgrade to the Pro, but seriously, this coupled with the mods issue should basically be a relative shoo for anyone who wants to upgrade to PC. Thats the whole moral of the story. Sony wants to stop gaming enthusiasts who are falling for PC and technical prowess from jumping to PC. This is why it was so bad.

As for the 60 fps, i'm sure MS will be watching all of Sony's failures and use them to capitalize on the Scorpio. Microsoft is better at getting behind mulitplayer gaming than Sony. Strategy-wise, they need the good press after feeling like their console was lesser than Sony's. Microsoft follows Sony's every move, so a retaliation is coming and I can feel it in my bones. $600 is what I expected for the Playstation neo and was pleasantly suprised about the price. Thats all well and good, but the scorpio is most definitely going to be more in price and its no bottleneck to sales when they made it clear that only enthusiasts should buy it (therefore less will be produced like elite controllers).

The Neo is not a sell to any gamer who wants to jump to PC and neither is the scorpio. We will hear what MS has to say next year.

That's for MP only - Sony never stopped devs from makig 60fps SP games for the Pro and 30fps for the original one. PC isn't a single platform holder so of course it's not a problem there. But it would be terrible if some game had a 60fps MP for the Pro and 30fps for the original. That would be an unfair advantage and made Sony look bad and made owners angry. So, Sony did the right thing here.

If MS was looking at Sony's failures, they would be making exclusive games for the Xbox One instead on focusing on multimedia. Because that's where Sony failed.
