VR already seems to have lost its initial excitement. I think PSVR, unless it has that killer app, will fizzle because Oculus and that other one already took all that early adopter excitement out, and showed up with nothing compelling in the games department. So while some PS4 owners will buy it, I see it having no effect on PS4 hardware sales. And if anything, the people interested in PSVR will be the ones looking to get the best experience from it, which means buying PS4P in November.

I don't see any way that PS4P isn't going to shift sales into November, and that opens up the field for Xb one for September and October.

Or to put it another way, if Xb one doesn't win Sept and Oct NPD, then that's actually quite bad news for Xb one's future, and Scoprio in holiday 2017 might be too little too late. While these mid-gen upgrades might extend the generation a bit, if Sony comes out with a PS5 in 2019 it means Sony will be seeing 2018 as well past the peak for the 8th gen and Scorpio won't really matter.

PSVR his hitting a market of over 40+m capable console, is a more consumer friendly price and has killer games like Driveclub, Star Wars and Batman, amongst others. But putting that to one side, the PS4pro and the PS4 are leading on Amazon and the PS4s promotions haven't started yet. That's why I'm curious about why you think the XB1s can take this month and next month. I've seen you post several times and you, like I, understand that Amazon is always right (given other factors are taken into consideration). There are no other factors this month though, it's just a simple matter of the PS4pro AND the PS4 leading. If there's a change in the places then, yes, perhaps you're right, but right now Amazon is indicating quite strongly the PS4 will win September.

HARDWARE
#03 PS4Pro (same)*
#24 PS4 Black Ops III Bundle (up 1)
#31 XB1s-500gb Halo Bundle (up 3)
#34 PS4s UC4 Bundle (up 9)

Only 3 places between the PS4s (pre-orders/no promotions) and the XB1s with 4 Halo games. Then you have Pro at 3 and black Ops at 24. That's looking like a comfortable win to me.

My thinking is along the lines that we're only 12 days into the month, and as the month progresses (and PS4 pro launch gets closer) sales for PS4 and PS4S may start to drop away and Xb one may nudge into the leading position. I don't think we can make hard conclusions this early in the month. and certainly not for October. September gets a boost with PS4S release, but it's not exactly high on the monthly chart right now. I kind of expect PS4S sales to go the same way as Xb one S and drop away quite a lot, probably even moreso relative to Xb oneS as the PS4P is following hot on its heels and the 4S essentially becomes the poor man's PS4. It could be that 4S's pre-order peak position is the highest it climbs on Amazon and that by the end of the month 4S will be quite low on the monthly chart.

And BOIII bundle is still the top-selling PS4 sku. When are people going to start anticipating the Infinite Warfare bundle and hold off for that? I assume Sony still has the 3rd party deal with Acti on CoD, so there 99.999% certainty will be a 2016 CoD bundle. Another thing to make people take a waiting attitude to buying a PS4.
