And not only will it be BC, the current PS4/PS4pro will play it's games too. Only difference is that the PS4 will probably run them at sub 720p@30fps, the PS4pro will run them at 1080p+@30fps and the PS5 will be 4k@30/60fps.

Could you imagine what Uncharted 4 or The Witcher 3 would be like if they had to run on the PS3 too? Power is more than just visuals. Physics, rendering styles, animations...

I'd rather developers (at least, exclusive developers) just be able to make their games on the most up to date console hardware.
