The news, part two:

http://www.pcgamer.com/into-the-black-is-a-vr-survival-game-with-echoes-of-firewatch/
Into the Black is a VR game being developed by the UK's National Film and Television School that sets players off as a spirit guide sent to help a red fox and a grizzly bear escape the wildfires of Yellowstone National Park. It will be narrated by actor Nigel Barber, whose film credits include Spectre and Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, and will debut in a demo that will be be playable at the EGX 2016 show, which runs from September 22-26 in Birmingham, England.

CLUSTERTRUCK, THE GAME ABOUT SURFING THE TOPS OF POORLY-DRIVEN SEMIS, IS OUT THIS MONTH
http://www.pcgamer.com/clustertruck-the-game-about-surfing-the-tops-of-poorly-driven-semis-is-out-this-month/
Our January summary of Clustertruck really nails it down: “An absurd action game in which you have to get from point A to point B by riding the tops of a long convoy of trucks whose drivers, from what I can tell, have never driven a truck.” At the time, it was expected to be ready for release in April, which did not work out. But today publisher TinyBuild announced that it will be out, for sure, on September 27.

BURN ALIEN TRASH IN DIARIES OF A SPACEPORT JANITOR, OUT NEXT WEEK
http://www.pcgamer.com/burn-alien-trash-in-diaries-of-a-spaceport-janitor-out-next-week/
Chunky pixels, a Morte-style floating skull companion, and a vibrant, alien 3D world—these are just some of the reasons I'm looking forward to Sundae Month's Diaries of a Spaceport Janitor, which is out next week. It's an "anti-adventure game about picking up trash in an alien bazaar".

STARBOUND UPDATE ADDS FISHING, NOVAKID VILLAGES
http://www.pcgamer.com/starbound-update-adds-fishing-novakid-villages/
Thou shalt have a fishy, on a little dishy, thou shalt have a fishy when you load up Starbound and play around with its new fishing system, which has just been added in a patch. Update 1.1, as the name suggests, is the first content update since the sandbox-crafting-space-etc-thingy released a couple of months ago, and if you're wondering what PC Gamer's Chris Livingston thought of it at the time, then wow, that's a pretty specific wondering, but he reviewed it and liked it all the same.

BASE-BUILDING SPACE STRATEGY RPG HALCYON 6 LEAVES EARLY ACCESS
http://www.pcgamer.com/base-building-space-strategy-rpg-halcyon-6-leaves-early-access/
Halcyon 6: Starbase Commander is, and I quote, a "retro space strategy RPG with base building, deep tactical combat, crew management and emergent storytelling". It doesn't look particularly retro to me, but developer Massive Damage cites classic oldies including Master of Orion, Star Control, X-COM (note the hyphen!) and Civilization as inspirations, while doffing its corked developer hat to modern space roguelike FTL.

RUST'S XP SYSTEM ISN'T WORKING VERY WELL, WILL LIKELY BE REMOVED
http://www.pcgamer.com/rusts-xp-system-isnt-working-very-well-will-likely-be-removed/
As far as Early Access survival games go, Rust is among the most loved. Although Garry Newman isn't currently working on the project, Facepunch continues to chip away at it under the supervision of lead developer Maurino Berry. One of Berry's recent additions was XP, which introduced a little bit of structure (ie, the permanent short term goal of grinding). Although the system was welcomed pre-launch, it appears to be conflicting with the studio's – and the fanbase's – longterm vision for the game.

THE DIVISION'S PUBLIC TEST SERVER DELAYED
http://www.pcgamer.com/the-divisions-public-test-server-delayed/
A couple of weeks back, Ubisoft announced it was “thrilled to confirm” plans to open a Public Test Server (PTS) for the PC version of The Division. As Andy reported, “the near future” was when the publisher planned to roll out the server—a date which was later confirmed to be Thursday, September 15—however it seems this will now be further away that first thought.
