Why don't you move to another country?

Besides, you are confusing gadets with technology. I'm brazillian too, and being pretty honest, i don't recall ever doing something about it. And i'm not about voting for someone, this is mostly irrelevant, i'm talking about actuallly chasing all these missed opportunitties, you know? If no one in the market is providing cheap and good internet, why don't I put up a company to do that? If importing gadget here is expensive, it mean that if i porduce here and export, exchange rate will be really favorable.

I'm not better than the people in here that favour a system of blaming someone intead of taking responsabilities. And everyone in a country does that, this is the result.

BTW: ellon musk, ceo of tesla, is south african native, so  i think the place you being born don't determine how far you can go.

I was focusing on consumer technology. But your speech of do something is really deluded. Whitout any kind of investment it's just impossible to do anything, with the structure we have to face to even open an small neighborhood shop opening an internet company would requires millions. It's something that go way beyond our reach of acting, things in Brazil are horribly expensive and even more when compared wirh the mediun income, and it's with everything, from the very basic things like food, electricity and housing to smartphones. Going to another country is my dream, but it is also something that isn't going to happen so soon, if it were for my wish I would be living in France for decades now.
