Despite losing, I felt pretty good about that game. It literally came down to Williams making a bonehead mistake of not getting OOB to let Bailey try his leg rifle again. With key players still not available on the defense and a 4th round draft pick playing his first NFL game, it was down to the final play and a single point. NYG just spent $200M in free agency and weren't missing any key pieces, so I think this was a very solid showing. I expect Dallas and the Giants to be leading and battling for the division down the stretch, too much talent out there not to.

Zeke I thought wasn't prepared for today, and if Morris was getting the start might have actually been enough of a difference to win the game.

If that helps you sleep at night...

I should employ the same logic for my loss in fantasy football.

Ah, don't get me wrong, I would have been happier with a W, but the Giants just spent a massive amount of money on their defense, and our rookie QB still brought it down to the wire. If we had won, but Dak looked like a mess out there, I would have been more worried than I am now, and feel negative about the year going forward.

Dallas plays it's first four games with BOTH starting DEs out, and two key linebackers. All will be back for week 5 outside of Rolando (who is, to be honest, anything but reliable), who will be back week 11.

If they can go 2-2 or even 1-3 in the first four, I feel pretty okay with that. Dak doesn't look like he's going to be overwhelmed and fall apart, and he also did well in spreading the targets, finding Beasley and Williams and even Butler out there, which was a sore point with the horrible backup QB play last year.

Zeke did NOT look ready, but as long as they're willing to start Morris, the running game should be fine (and then split carries with Zeke on a limited basis as he gets used to NFL playbook).
