Sorry about the typos, I usually type using my phone (long story). I am not saying there isn't a difference. And obviously native will always be better than Upscaled or uprendering (that's what Sony calls it). Im talking more of the implementation of such a a tech. Pickyness aside anyone that looks at it will have to admit that it looks really good for a $400 box compared to what kinda PC you would need to handle native 4k. And the big deal about this tech is that its hardware based on the PS4pro, which means it will be better than any software based solution of the technique. Really makes me wonder why GPU manufacturers hadn't done this all this time. And now sonys gone and slapped a patent on it.
Yes it is, and that's kinda the point. So right now we are comparing a $400 console running faux4k to a PC on ultra running native 4k. And all we have to say about it is, Slightly blurry? I call that a win for said $400 box. Imagine what could be accomplished with a 6TF GPU using this kinda tech and instead using 1440p native pairs as opposed to 1080p pairs. |
It's cool, I just found it hard to read into what you were saying is all.
See for me I'm the opposite, I'm more impressed with what you can do with technology than what you can try cramming into things at a cheaper cost. I'd love to see say the first human in a fully cyborg body that would really impress me over say a half human half cybord body that cost someone less money than the full cyborg deal.
Honestly I really don't think GPU makers should really be going with the technique as the baseline. I for one don't agree with it very much nor care for it, to have to override would mean putting me off their GPU entirely, it's why I like having the options to choose from different GPU vendors, same reason why I choose to download my GPu drivers via nvidia's website rather than using their Geforce Experience software (which I also disagree with and dislike).
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
