Playing console and PC games with Ultra settings on a big 1080p projector screen...even at 80" (which is smaller, but also sharper for IQ at 1080p)...don't expect much at all. High and Ultra settings are not night and day most of the time, and to be honest something that gets lost on the softer look of a projector image compared to a LED/IPS panel.
Honestly, those buying for 1080p will be tasting the placebo effect visually playing from your typical couch distance.
If you play on a 24" monitor you may appreciate the differences up close, that's about it.
The only benefit is a game that's going to double your framerate...and we all heard from ME Andromeda that this is not something to bank on, and will vary by developer-if they choose to do anything at all.
