What you're really asking for is console makers to be on a release schedule similar to mobile. Every year = new high end device with dive 3 to 4 years old being deprecated.
I've pitched this was the way of consoles for quite sometime. I think NX is the last time we'll see a big hardware change. I also think scorpio and ps4pro both prove that point.
