Upscaled, checkerboard 4k, or whatever other techniques used for each games, the footage they saw was 4K. The method used to get there isn't really relevent. The end result is games delivering 4K like experience (as evidenced by the ROTTR analysis comparing 4k native PC version to PS4 Pro version)... So if you want to keep playing semantics (for what reason, really?), it will be without me.
