Because it's achieveable. True, it might be a waste but keep in mind that I could, if I wanted, bring it back In my own time and money. Get a little crowd funding going for a 'classic game', if I get anywhere with it, and boom, I fill the market for an isometic shooter with horrific mental patients as the protagonists, instead of the generic mystic ones we mainly get.
Besides, not like I could afford Baldur's Gate. :P
