Most events are boring. Nintendo directs can appear as somewhat fun I guess, but they spend so much time making sure we don't discover a single thing about their games by painstakingly explaining every freaking features for 10s of minutes... And most of their little skits make me cringe more than anything.

Sony has Andrew House who always looks very uncomfortable to be in front of a crowd. We're used to him, but he's not the most charismatic person to hear and watch. Shawn Layden, while no Jack Tretton, does a much better job by being dynamic enough in his delivery to not put me to sleep.

Microsoft has Phil Spencer who's all smug but isn't really compelling either. He is charming enough though and I put him as roughly equal to Shawn Layden when it comes to stage presence.

None of them do much of a great job though. When I watch these shows, what interest me are the information and reveal. The rest, I really don't care much about. Last Sony's E3 was pretty much how I'd like all these events to be like. Announcements after announcements, game footage after game footage, with limited talking. Let the actual games and footage do the talking.
