Clarifying resolutions above 4k? So you exoect them to explain to eveeyone that they are using something called checkerboard upscaling or uprendering to arrive at a 4k frame buffer?

The information is out there for all to see. Anyone that wants to know what exactly is going on can clearly see what kinda techniques or methods they are using.

Its not upscaling, and it's not native 4k. A tech company has used or employee custom tech to and a custom technique to arrive at a set resolution.

But let's make this fair, can you point out one XB1 game box that at the back of it they said 900p instead of 1080p? And what's funny is that the PS4pro actually ends up with a 4k frame buffer.... you know what nvm. No point.

Well the way Sony is marketing the PS4 Pro now has them believing its actually doing 4K, which isn't really the case.

I don't think its necessary to say on a X1 box when a game is sub-1080p because MS isn't marketing 1080p. Meanwhile 4K is a huge part of PS4 Pro's marketing.

Quantum Break was natively 720p but used that temporal tech that created a 1080p image. It certainly looks better than just doing 720p, but its still not native 1080p. If MS pushed that as a 1080p game though, that would certainly be an issue which is why they didn't do that.

Anyhow, I'm just saying Sony's marketing seems purposely misleading and people do believe its rendering 4K natively in all the games advertised. Its not really a debate, this is fact.

apparently the scorpio won't do native 4k so the pspro certainly won't
