When did you EVER buy a 4K Blu-ray Film?

So that it is cheap? Cheap console that plays games > console with a 4K blu-ray player.

This is basically the opposite argument of the Ps3. It did everything. It had blu-ray, BC etc. It didn't sell well until.. thats right - it was cheap.

It is like how the xbox 360 didn't include a blu-ray... and then missed out on stuff (like MG4) and had games with many, many discs. Except.. there is no games lost this way.

You get all the games you want, and you can stream all the 4k content you want. You simply miss out on a 4k player and in turn it is made cheaper.

Nope, not simple as that.

PS3 was an intro console, they expected all PS2 players to migrate towards it at a rediculous price right away. This is an ENTIRELY different situation, it's a mid-gen bump. It's meant to be the top of the line 4K capable console and the top of the line PS4. Sony has the option for those who want a cheaper console, we call that the PS4 Slim model. And as you can see by the outrage from gamers, they wanted a top of the line 4K console...Sony did not deliver that on any front.
