Thats not trickery though, thats a bussiness decision to make it as cheap & powerfull as possible.
If the old Xbox One can do HDR, but the reason MS doesnt allow it, is to sell Slims, then thats a very differnt thing than not includeing a Blu-ray player.
If you had to pick between 2 PS4 pro designs; And your engineers told you, in stores it would amount to A or B:
a) 399$ PS4 pro no blu-ray drive + chip
b) 449$ PS4 pro with blu-ray drive + chip
Which one would you pick if you where in charge?
