It depends on what kinda magic Sony has up their sleeve. HDR is part of hdmi 2.0a spec, which a hdmi 1.4 receiver won't accept. Hence early 4k UHD players have 2 hdmi out ports, one for sound and one for video. Did they say whether the ps4 pro will have an optical port for sound? Not ideal but having to buy a new amp isn't either.
