Absolutley, this is the golden standard I want to see. I'm worried that developers will get lazy and simply offer a 4k mode on PRO or a 1080p mode that's practically the same as the OG ps4.
I want at least an option for 4k and an option for a legitimately enhanced 1080p. An option that prioritizes frame rate would be nice too though.
