Or people are just mis informed? or wrong about what port the PS4 has? Maybe its always had a HDMI 2.0 port? and just never had the software support for HDR? but now will thanks to a firmware update?
Also why you should get a PS4 pro instead of a Xbox One slim? Because for 50$ extra (349$ Xbox One S (1tb)) you can get a PS4 pro, thats 3 times as powerfull. Xbox One Slim runs at 720p-900p for games. PS4 pro will run games at 1440p-1800p. Even if you only have a 1080p TV, you will notice games look much better on the PS4 Pro than the Xbox One slim.
Its known as Downsampling (or "Supersampling"). "Downsampling (also called Supersampling) is when you set your GPU to render a game at a higher resolution than your monitor can display, then rescale the image to fit your monitor's resolution."
This is the normal version:
this is the downsampled version:
^ imagine this for EVERY game you play on your TV even if its only a 1080p TV. |
For me, I really need to ask myself if $100 extra is worth this upgrade since I own a 1080p televison. And it's a damn nice one.
