You know, I'd be a shitload more freaked out if somebody prophesised the exact opposite of that and it happened. Name any period in time that humans were around and I bet there were wars, famines, pestilences and earthquakes. In fact I can easily think of several periods that were far more so than the current one. (ie. the first half of the 20th century, now that was a time of war).
