Lolz I don't really have lots of money, I'm just very good at finding games for really good prices. |
My brother and I were similar. I don't think either of us (or my parents) purchased a PC game at full price until I was 16 or so. AU$15 was about the limit (most PC games were $60+ at the time), with many of our games being bought in large amounts at sales for AU$5-10 each. We'd easily have 300+ PC games from over the years.
I also purchased a gamecube late in its life. Out of the 24 games I own, only 4 of them were new, and even then I didn't pay any more than AU$60 for a game. The most expensive 2nd hand one I got was AU$32.
The Wii on the other hand has been a different story. Since I actually have a decent income now, I own 18 games, with most of them purchased at "full" price (full price being whatever the cheapest I could get them at release was).
On the topic of older gamers, My uncle is 57 and recently bought a 360. Last I spoke to him a few weeks ago, he was getting into Gears and Assassin's Creed.
