Ireland's tax rate is already low, and yet they opted for all kind of BS practices to pay practically nothing. Tim Cook can be all emotional about this hurting Apple and Ireland, but he can afford the taxes in Ireland no problem and he knows that. He doesn't really care about Ireland and it's people, he just wants to fill up Apple's coffers and give investors a lion share.

Pay your f* taxes like everyone else.

Don't be a tool. Ireland can only claim taxes upon the amount of profit have made within Ireland. Apple avoid taxes from all other EU countries and only pay Ireland for taxes on profits from within Ireland. They then say to other countries that they are headquartered in Ireland. If they were based in Germany or Belgium they would do the same thing.

It's not a small nations fault. We have low corporation tax because that's the way we want it. But again, our rate of tax is irrelevant. They pay the 12.5% on what we can claim....... If other countries don't like it, then they should lower theirs. Apple are abusing multinational agreements. While other nations try to bully Ireland because of it. If we increase our rate of tax, our indigenous small local companies could never compete, because we are a small island nation.

Then there are those who say Ireland are the only ones with such issues. Hahahahaha! The USA are the biggest deal makers of any country.
